Teaching - Conscientious Objection

Follow this flowchart if you have a conscientious objection to a teaching assessment or practice.


Start here
Has the practice been
undertaken already?		 There is
no appeal.
Contact the Unit Co-ordinator
prior to the start of the unit
OR
Contact the Program Chair
if it concerns future units.
Resolved? Done
Appeal to the Student
Appeals Committee,
within 15 working days
of receiving written notification from
the Unit Co-ordinator/Program Chair.
Resolved? Done
Is the lack of resolution
based on cost?		 Appeal to the
Vice Chancellor.
 
Check Point 8 of the
Guidelines on Conscientious Objection in Teaching and Assessment
to determine if you can appeal to the
Student Appeals Committee.
