Scholarships Office

Being a "poor student" is more than just a cliché, it's a lived and breathed reality that can really impact on your ability to achieve your academic potential. The Scholarships Office is here to offer financial assistance to those who really need it, in lots of cases for the duration of your degree.

Murdoch's Scholarships reward outstanding achievements, whether you've attained an excellent TER, or you're coping with significant adversity and steadily working towards attaining your academic goals. Perhaps you've completed one of Murdoch's Enabling Programs and are about to take the next step as an undergraduate - there are scholarships that recognise your accomplishments.

We have scholarships aimed at students studying particular courses, like Nursing, Law/Legal Studies and Asian Studies. If you have been a resident of the Town of Kwinana or City of Rockingham for the last two years, you can apply for one of several scholarships specifically aimed at students from these areas. Students in special circumstances can apply for a Mick Young Scholarship, or the newly established Jacqui Wharton Scholarship. There are also lots of scholarships for Honours students, and fee waiver scholarships for some Postgraduate courses.

Most scholarships for undergraduate students are lump sum payments of $1,000 - perfect for taking care of the rent for a while, or getting yourself a laptop, or just covering of some of those everyday living expenses that can really get on top of you. These are not loans: once you've been paid it's yours to keep!

Further information about each scholarship scheme can be found by following the links below.

If you can't find what you need here, don't hesitate to contact the Scholarships Office directly with enquiries. And I wish you every success with your studies at Murdoch!
