Holland Family Scholarship

The Holland Family are long term residents of the City of Rockingham who are passionate about the maintenance of Murdoch University's Rockingham campus. This scholarship aims to support students enrolling in Murdoch's new Education (BEd) [Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education].

Scholarship Value

In 2010 there will be four Holland Family Scholarships available, each valued at $500.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Holland Family Scholarship, students should:

• Be enrolled or intending to enrol in the Education (BEd) [Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education] at Murdoch University Rockingham Campus in 2010;
• Be under 20 years of age - preference will given to school leavers who completed years 11 and 12 at a High School located within the City of Rockingham;
• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
• Provide evidence of a good academic record;
• Provide a personal statement of no more than one A4 page explaining why the student is interested in studying Education (BEd) [Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education];
• Provide written reference(s) from one and no more than two persons qualified to comment on the applicant's previous studies, and/or past or current employer.

Selection Criteria

The following will be taken into consideration by the Selection panel:

• Academic transcripts from years 11 and 12;
• Reference(s) from persons suitable to comment;
• Personal statement.

Preference will be given to students who nominate Education (BEd) [Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education] at Murdoch University as their first preference on their TISC application.

Students will be notified as to the outcome of their application in January 2010.

The outcome of the application will be advised by email. No further correspondence will be entered into concerning the outcome.
