Zonta Club of Peel Region

Zonta is a global service organisation of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.

Eligibility

The Zonta Club of Peel invites applications from women students who:

  1. Have been resident in the Peel Region for two or more years.
  2. Are studying their first degree
  3. Have successfully completed more than one year of their course
  4. Do not hold a scholarship or other monetary award
  5. Are able to demonstrate need of financial assistance
  6. Provide the names of at least two referees
  7. Are an Australian Citizen.

Terms and Conditions

The award is for $1500 and is co-sponsored by the City of Mandurah.

The money is to be put towards study for a recognized degree at a WA University. The successful applicant must provide evidence of a satisfactory completion of the previous year’s university course, and show enrolment in the next academic year. The successful applicant must be available to receive her award at the Zonta Clubs International Women’s Breakfast on or near 8th March.

There is an expectation that the Award recipient will present a report at the end of the academic year to the Zonta Club of Peel Region.

Selection

The applications will be short listed and will be interviewed by a panel of two members of the Zonta Club of Peel region. Other factors such as, extra curricular activities & community contribution will also be taken into consideration by the selection
